Onion parantha (naan stuffed with onions) wrapped around ahi tuna (rubbed with a mixture of onion powder, wasabi powder, then quickly poached in a soy-miso broth; remove from broth and shred), thinly sliced cucumber, green onion, and flash fried baby spinach and watercress leaves. Dip sandwich in a reduction of the broth with orange juice and orange zest.

Sassy

Baguette, sliced in half, filled with spinach ricotta dumplings (blanch spinach, squeeze dry, then mix with an egg, ricotta cheese, salt and pepper, garlic and flour; chill, then roll into balls coated in flour and drop into boiling water and boil 10 minutes, or until fluffy and like air), roasted Roma tomatoes (sliced, roasted with dried basil, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil), fresh basil leaves, and a heavy grating of fresh parmesan. Toast until the edges of the bread become golden, then drizzle with crushed red pepper infused oil.

Cozy

Wheat wrap, filled with a tossed salad of spinach and red leaf lettuce, roasted honey crisp apples (cut into chunks, tossed with a drizzle of honey and nutmeg, then roasted until soft), crispy fried tofu chunks, parmesan cheese, and an apple cider/olive oil emulsion dressing.

Keen

Toasted cracked peppercorn bread topped with tofu salad (crumbled tofu spiced with roasted garlic, salt, pepper, and smoky paprika, and mixed with green peas, toasted pecans, and olive oil), roasted anaheim peppers, and thinly sliced red cabbage.

Absurd

Whole wheat roll, sliced in half, then stuffed with cajun rubbed baked tofu slabs (rubbed in a mixture of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, ground cumin, then place on an oiled tray and baked until crispy on one side, flip, then remove when crisped on both sides), french fried onion rings tossed in barbeque sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, and red leaf lettuce.

Interstitial

Spinach wrap, heated through, with a small baby green salad tossed with lemon, olive oil, and salt and pepper on bottom. Top with hummus (mixed with a touch of goddess dressing and balsamic vinegar — to make it a bit looser — and fold in green peas, toasted pecans, and thinly sliced mint leaves), shredded carrots, and dried cranberries. Wrap tightly, toothpick, and slice in half.

Itinerant

Wheat roll, sliced in half, with marinated artichoke hearts on the bottom, topped with smoked provolone, prosciutto, salami, smoked mozzarella, spinach, and topped with garlic olive oil-drizzled top of the roll.

Wrap tightly with saran wrap and press between weights, like two books in a backpack on a long trip.

Butch

Multigrain baugette, with a spread of chipotle mayo on the bottom and a spread of sweet chili sauce on the top. Fill with slow-cooked button mushrooms (thinly sliced, first sauteed in butter with thyme, salt and pepper, and crushed red pepper then add white wine and mushroom broth and cook for 30-40 minutes. Drain, reserving all liquid for a dipping sauce later.) Melt Jarlsburg cheese on top of the mushrooms, then top with grilled peppers and onions. Slice in half, and dip into reserved warmed mushroom broth.

Unflappable

Cracked peppercorn bread, sliced and toasted. Spread one side with slow-caramelized onions with a touch of cayenne and honey, top with crispy pork belly, sliced tomato, lemon zest cheese, and top with sliced avocado, salt and pepper, and second slice of bread.

Witty

A sandwich for the awesome Claire, who interviewed The Adjective Sandwich about a month ago!

Sourdough roll, cut in half and spread with garlic parsley butter on both sides and toasted. Spread avocado on the bottom, top with shredded chicken, wilted garlicky spinach, a slice of havarti, thinly sliced English cucumber, and then top with the top half of the roll.
